Jerry Edwards, one or our own members, was our April speaker, he did a demonstration on how he creates a portrait in oil. Jerry's art training started at the Dayton Art Institute in 1984. He took classes at DAI, Sinclair Community College, Wright State University, and Central State. His main interest is portrait painting. He now paints at The Cannery on Thursday and Friday, and at the High Street Gallery from 10:00 to 1:00 most days. He is the mentor for the Dayton Academy of Traditional Art, sponsored by the Dayton Society of Painters and Sculptures.
